You can sip a sample in Anderson Valley or head to North Coast Brewing Company on main street in Fort Bragg for a delicious Scrimshaw. Whether salty or fresh, the water is the perfect way to explore the rugged and beautiful Mendocino coast. There is a variety of adventures on the water from Kayak Mendocino in Little River Cove, Catch A Canoe on Big River, Liquid Fusion Kayaking on the Noyo, or Stand-Up Paddle Mendocino; from family tours that require no experience to specific skill lessons for advanced paddlers.

Ride the World Famous Skunk Train
Jump on the train at the Fort Bragg Depot and take an hour long scenic ride along the Pudding Creek Estuary or try their new Railbikes, the peddle-powered vehicles for two! Discover a new side of the world-famous Redwood Route- it’s an ideal excursion for couples and families! Along the way you may see blue herons, egrets, osprey, turtles, and much more! Horseback Rides
From a beach trail ride with the kids to a romantic sunset ride for two, Ricochet Ridge Ranch offers a variety of excursions to please everyone! They have some terrific horses who are both fit and sensible, good for taking novice riders safely, and yet willing to keep up with horses more suitable for advanced riders. Children 6 years of age and older are welcome.
Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens
Our Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are a rare jewel and the only public garden in the continental United States fronting directly on the ocean. The Botanical Gardens offers everything from colorful floral displays to thunderous waves crashing on the Mendocino Coast. A wonderful place to explore for hours. Dogs are welcome!
