  • We very much enjoyed the thoughtful way the host anticipated all our needs. The welcome letter was perfect for letting us know their expectations regarding our dogs. There were clean dog bowls, waste pick up bags, a towel for dirty feet and treats! We really kept our dogs happy by taking them to the open space for them to run around while we lounged on the chairs by the fire pit overlooking the Pacific! Really a great place especially for the hot tub overlooking the Little River bay where it meets the Pacific!Ryan

    Our stay here was absolutely amazing! There were so many nice, cozy touches that made it feel like home. The view was phenomenal and we enjoyed the deck/patio. It was clean and close to town. Check in/out was a breeze. We will definitely be coming back!Ashley C

    Had a wonderful stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. The coffee provided and the gift of a bottle of wine was a nice touch. Very close to great hiking trails and a 6 minute drive to town. Would not hesitate to return.Julie D

  • Good: Great location, Easy check-in, Kind and helpful staff, Cozy cottage. Three friends and their dog stayed in the Caspar cottage, we absolutely loved it. There is a hot tub on the back deck, very nice. The cottage was very relaxing. I don’t know how to describe it but once we checked-in time just slowed down. We opened the windows and breeze was great. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. They are very pet-friendly, welcomed us with a very sweet handwritten note. I wish we could have stayed longer, we had a very nice time.Sparks

    Loved our stay here! We brought our pup Ranger and it was a perfectly pet-friendly place. Not only was there a lovely communal area where he (and 3 other dogs there that weekend) could play, but we also had arrived to a little welcoming package with a pet bed, poop bags, a frisbee, towel, and water and food bowls! We felt so welcomed. For the humans, the view of the ocean from the cabin was gorgeous, the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, and the location is perfect for access to Mendocino and all its beautiful nature. Only (minor) complaint would be that the bed was quite creaky, but it didn’t impact our experience overall. Will stay here again!

  • We loved our last minute stay at the cottages! We had the place all to ourselves in mid March, which was magical. It’s right on the side of HWY 1 (set back from the road) and you can see and hear the ocean! We walked out to the bluff past the blowhole (must see!) one evening and its was incredible Super close to downtown Mendocino and tons of incredible state parks. You can also walk two minutes to the bar at the hotel next door. Rooms were modest but clean, warm, and peaceful. They even left a sweet little welcome kit for the dog! The self catering part was really nice as it beat choosing a hotel room with just a fridge, and allowed us to make great breakfasts before we headed out for the day. We even stayed a second night! Woke up to deer in the garden the morning we left. Thank you!!! Would highly recommend for a really peaceful stay with ocean views. (We stayed in Gualala cabin)Tamsin Edwards

    What a great cabin the “Elk”. Great ocean view, very spacious. Location is great and near Mendocino. Great laminate flooring. I would come back here for sure. Close to van dam beach i took my dog in the morning for a walk.Ray
