Where are Cottages at Little River Cove?

We are located at 7533 North Highway 1 in Little River, California, about two miles south of Mendocino Village. Visit our directions page for arrival guidance.

What kind of lodging does the property offer?

We offer private, stand-alone cottages in a landscaped coastal setting. Each cottage has its own layout and combines the independence of a vacation rental with the support of a professionally managed inn. Explore our cottages to compare the options.

Are the cottages on the beach?

Our cottages sit on the east side of Highway 1 with views toward the Pacific; they are not directly on the beach. Van Damme Beach is approximately one-quarter mile away.

How close are the cottages to Mendocino Village?

We are about two miles south of Mendocino Village, close to restaurants, galleries, shops, and coastal walks while offering a quieter Little River setting.

Are the cottages a good choice for couples and families?

Yes. We offer options for romantic stays, families, and small groups, with some cottages sleeping up to six guests. Occupancy varies, so please review our cottage descriptions before booking.

Cottage features and amenities

Do all cottages have full kitchens?

Yes. Every cottage includes a full kitchen with full-size appliances, cookware, dishes, and coffee-making supplies. You can compare layouts and features on our accommodations page.

Is breakfast included?

We do not currently serve breakfast. Every cottage includes a full kitchen so guests can prepare meals and snacks on their own schedule.

Do all cottages have ocean views?

Our property is known for ocean views, but the angle and extent of the view vary by cottage and landscaping. Please review the photos and description for your preferred cottage.

Do the cottages have fireplaces?

Yes. Our cottages include thermostat controlled fireplaces, which also serve as an important heat source. Please follow the operating and safety instructions provided.

Which cottages have private hot tubs?

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. We provide high-speed Wi-Fi. Cellular reception can be limited on the rural Mendocino Coast, so Wi-Fi calling may be helpful. More guest information is available in our digital compendium.

Do the cottages have televisions?

Yes. Our cottage descriptions include televisions with Roku streaming. Please be ready to provide your own streaming account credentials. Rokus tv’s automatically sign all apps out.

Is there an outdoor common area?

Is guest laundry available?

We do not have a guest laundry facility on the property. The closest public laundry options are in Fort Bragg.

Are the cottages accessible for guests with mobility needs?

Cottage layouts and stair access vary, and some cottages require multiple steps. Please review our directions and contact information and speak with us before booking so we can help identify the most suitable option.

Pets

Are Cottages at Little River Cove pet-friendly?

Yes. We welcome dogs and cats in designated pet-friendly cottages, with up to two pets per cottage unless another arrangement is approved in advance. Please review our pet policy before arrival.

What is the pet fee?

Our pet fee is $30 per pet, per night, capped at $120 per stay, plus applicable tax.

What is included with the pet package?

We provide food and water bowls, a towel, waste bags, and a treat. Pet beds are available on request, subject to availability.

Can pets be left alone in a cottage?

No. Pets may not be left unattended, even in a crate. We ask owners to keep pets under control, clean up after them, and prevent damage or disturbances.

Is there a nearby dog-friendly beach?

Van Damme Beach is approximately one-quarter mile from our cottages. Beach and park rules can change, so please review our pet policy and current California State Parks guidance before visiting.

Arrival, stay, and policies

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins after 4:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Please bring a valid photo ID and the credit card used for the reservation.

Is the driveway suitable for low-clearance vehicles?

Our driveway is steep. We recommend that low-clearance vehicles approach from the south and make a right turn into the driveway. See our directions page before arrival.

Does the property provide daily housekeeping?

Stayover housekeeping is available by request rather than automatically. Please contact us if you need fresh linens, towels, supplies, or other assistance. Our digital compendium includes additional guest information.

Is smoking allowed?

No. Guest cottages, decks, and grounds are non-smoking. A restoration fee of at least $275 may apply if smoking occurs in a prohibited area.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation and deposit terms depend on the rate selected. Please review the terms shown before payment, in your confirmation email, and on our policies page. Promotional and nonrefundable reservations cannot be refunded.

Are there special terms for group reservations?

Reservations of three or more cottages are treated as a group. Group reservations require 30 days’ notice for cancellation and full payment 14 days before arrival. See our policies page for details.

Does the property accept cash?

We are a cashless property and accept major credit cards.
